Said to be on the studio bosses' top list to pen and perform the title track, the 'Telephone' singer reportedly has Amy Winehouse and Michael Buble as competitions.
"Bond bosses are all huge Gaga fans, her sound and sense of drama make her the top choice - Gaga has the look as well as the voice to tackle a thundering ballad," a source informed the publication on the possibility of the Grammy winner landing the job. The source added, "She's a great songwriter too. This is perfect on every level."
Although she is rumored to be on the top of the studio bosses' list, GaGa still has several competitions in going ahead to secure the gig. Amy Winehouse, who was lined up to write the theme for "Quantum of Solace" before it went to Jack White and Alicia, is said to be in the running as well, and so does Michael Buble.
In another news, Lady GaGa recently revealed that she commissioned a giant replica of herself for a centerpiece on her live shows, but was unable to use it due to its size. "It's a 30ft statue with a piano growing out of my stomach," she detailed. "I have to be lifted up to play it. It was too big for the stage in Australia but we are adapting the stage for our European dates so I'm excited about using it there."
